Academics
St. Francis Elementary School in Humphrey, NE, offers a faith-centered, Pre-K through sixth grade education accredited by the State of Nebraska. Supported by our parish and the Archdiocese of Omaha, we provide a close-knit learning environment with one class per grade. Located along Highway 81, our community is rich in farmland and agribusiness.

Students benefit from tools like Chromebooks, iPads, and Mimio Smart Boards, fostering an engaging and interactive learning experience.
Our elementary program covers core subjects like math, Guided Reading, VoWac phonics, and science, along with Specials in Spanish, music, PE, art, and more. Most importantly, our Catholic identity is woven into daily life—students celebrate Mass four times weekly and receive reconciliation monthly, grounding them in a vibrant faith journey.
Activities
We believe in fostering a vibrant and enriching environment where students grow academically, spiritually, and socially. We offer a wide range of engaging activities that celebrate our faith and community. Students participate in exciting events like Battle of the Saints, Grandparents Day, and Dr. Seuss Week, which help build connections and create lasting memories. Catholic Schools Week celebrates the values of Catholic education, while our music programs allow students to explore their creative talents and the annual book fair promotes a love of reading.
Daily Mass attendance, regular access to the sacrament of Reconciliation, and weekly Adoration nurture students’ spiritual lives.
